means that you are willing to accept new ideas, as long as there is a good reason to support those ideas (Source: 1).
Open-mindedness does not mean accepting everything you hear / see!
It means listening to others, being open to hearing what they say (and what evidence they have), and then thinking critically (and often learning more) about the topic before making up your mind. It also means you are open to changing your mind / perspective, in light of new evidence.
In this way, open mindedness involves critical thinking and skepticism.
isn’t about being overly critical of others or disbelieving something for no reason. Rather, skepticism is about suspending judgement until you have more information.
